Plain-English terms for using NutriLabels
These terms govern your use of NutriLabels, operated by NutriLabels, LLC. This page is written to be clear, not to substitute for legal advice; we recommend you have it reviewed for your own situation.
The service
NutriLabels is nutrition analysis software that calculates a Nutrition Facts label from a recipe you enter, plus optional expert services where our staff prepares the label for you.
Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and for keeping your login credentials secure.
Plans & billing
- Single Product is $29, one time, per product. It includes 12 months of recipe edits from the date of purchase; downloads of the purchased label do not expire. Editing the recipe after 12 months requires a new $29 unlock of that product or an active Studio-family plan.
- Studio ($299/yr) and Co-packer ($1,199/yr) are annual subscriptions that renew automatically each year unless canceled.
- We email a renewal reminder 30 days before the charge. You can cancel any time from My Account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we do not prorate refunds on subscriptions except where required by law.
- Your first Single Product purchase carries a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase. One refund per customer. A refund removes access to that product’s label and downloads. The guarantee applies to Single Product only; it does not apply to Studio or Co-packer plans, add-ons, or expert services.
- Expert services (Label Review, the done-for-you label, and any expert package bought before 22 September 2026) are one-time purchases with delivery within 5 business days after we confirm your documentation is complete.
Accuracy & responsibility
Nutrient values are derived from USDA FoodData Central and the ingredient and supplier information you provide. You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you enter, and for reviewing your finished label before printing or distributing it. NutriLabels is not a laboratory and does not provide legal advice; responsibility for FDA compliance of a manufactured product remains with you, the manufacturer. Our expert-tier packages include a compliance review by NutriLabels staff as part of the service.
Intellectual property
You own your recipes and the labels generated from them. NutriLabels owns the software, design, and underlying technology.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use NutriLabels to generate labels for products you do not have the right to sell, or to misrepresent nutrient content or claims in violation of FDA regulations.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NutriLabels, LLC’s total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico.
